Leah Parkhurst
Pilates Made Tangible. Craft Made to Last.
Fine art and functional design capturing the echo of the body in motion.
Leah Parkhurst is a surface designer, Pilates instructor, and art historian making fine art prints, wearables, and housewares that connect physical movement, fine craft, and high design. Every piece begins with the body — its lines, its rhythm, its presence — and transforms into something you can hold, wear, or live with.
No mass production. No shortcuts. Each work is made by hand in small runs to protect its integrity and ensure the highest level of craft. Whether it’s a Pilates class, a wall hanging, or an object for daily use, it’s designed with intention, and made to endure.

Why Pilates?
What
Is Pilates?
Pilates is an enthusiastic blend of strength, stretch, breath, and precision. It’s movement with intention—designed to build a confident, supported body and a clear, focused mind. Every exercise works from your center outward, helping you stand taller, move easier, feel more at home in your own skin, and your creative practice.
How to Get Started?
Starting Pilates is simple: Show up exactly as you are.
Simply join an online class, follow the clear guided movements, and gradually learn the Pilates system. No experience needed—just curiosity. Over time, you build strength, confidence, and a connection to your body that feels both grounding and energizing.
Why Pilates Helps Creatives & Artists:
When your body moves well, your ideas flow better. Pilates sharpens focus, frees your breath, and creates physical space for creativity. It supports your back, shoulders, and hips—the parts of you that get overworked from making, building, writing, and imagining. Pilates reconnects you to your physical self so your creative self can do its best work.
More presence. More energy. More inspiration.
Movement is fuel for creativity.
Welcome!
Leah Parkhurst is a certified Peak Pilates instructor, Level III Reiki practitioner, and multidisciplinary artist with over 13 years of experience teaching movement. Her fitness journey began in spin, group fitness, and Kripalu yoga, eventually leading her to Pilates during recovery from an injury—where she discovered a deeper connection to the body’s mechanics, rhythm, and resilience.
As both a classically trained Pilates instructor and a surface designer with a background in fine craft and art history, Leah creates work that bridges movement and material. Every piece—from fine art prints to wearables and housewares—begins with the body: its lines, its presence, its lived story. She pairs proven movement principles with a craftsperson's perspective, helping clients build functional strength, mobility, and confidence while transforming gestures into intentional, heirloom-quality objects.
Whether guiding clients through personalized movement practices or creating hand-crafted, small-run pieces, Leah brings the same ethos to everything she makes: thoughtful design, uncompromising craft, and a commitment to work that endures.
