The Limner Group develops and delivers educational and research services and products. Our research and work is supported by a strong philosophy and methodology based in the curatorial intersection between the creation of knowledge, commerce and communication. Curatorial research narrows the space between cultural knowledge and communicating that information, both written and visual. Thorough research provides meaning to the choices we make as individuals when we collect, present and arrange. This helps to define the ideas, people and stories that interest us all.
At the Limner Group, we have two primary goals supported by three core values. These values impact and inform everything we do.
Goals:
1). Thinking objectively and differently in order to support and bring awareness to the arts and crafts communities across disciplines.
2). Conducting evidence-based research to develop high-quality educational and cultural products and deliverables.
Values:
1). Excellent design, historical expertise and overall quality craftsmanship.
2). Progressive mentality, intellectual vigor and independence.
3). Communicating and translating larger concepts into manageable and digestible segments.
The Limner Group is a research group that objectively engages in and with the theories and practices of art and art history, questioning their discourses and wider societal norms. While our research aesthetic varies, ranging from archives to exhibitions, we operate under the assumption that what is deemed curatorial is in constant flux. Utilizing both a practical and theoretical approach through research, exhibitions and community interaction, it’s our teams’ goal to share knowledge as equitably as possible through interpretation and communication.
