Rustbelt Fiberwerks presents a timeless yet modern take on domestic items and housewares with eclectic motifs that have come to characterize Rustbelt’s designs. Leah Parkhurst has been creating her distinctive patterns and prints since 2006, when she began producing crisp and quirky hand-printed home goods. Leah’s hands-on printmaking and surface design workshops and creative classes allow an exchange with artisan communities and other creative individuals from across the United States. That exchange influences her overall style and creative outlook. Leah Parkhurst is the author of “Screen-Printing Without a Darkroom” and has actively collaborated with other craftspeople and artists throughout her career. Leah’s designs adorn everything from fabric and rugs, to bedding and paper goods. Her housewares have appeared in periodicals such as Sew Somerset, Make it Mine and Somerset Home.
